1. Westfields approach

1.1 Westfield takes the privacy of its Customers seriously. Set out below is the Westfield privacy policy, which governs the way in which Westfield processes any personal information that the Customer provides. If Westfield changes the privacy policy for the Website, Westfield will post those changes here so that the Customer will always know what information Westfield gathers, how Westfield may use that information and whether Westfield will disclose it to anyone.

2. Who may process data

2.1 Personal information will only be collected with the Customer's consent.

2.2 The Customers personal information (which includes name, address and any other details provided by the Customer to Westfield which identify the Customer as an individual) may be processed by Westfield.

2.3 Westfield may disclose or receive personal information or documents about you to/from other companies within the Westfield group, its authorised carriers and its service providers.

2.4 Westfield may be required to disclose personal information or documents about a customer if required to do so by law in the prevention of criminal activities in accordance with UK legislation.

2.5 Westfield will not disclose your personal information to any third parties without your consent.

3. Quality

Westfield will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information that is held is accurate, complete and up to date.

4. Purpose of processing

Westfield, other Westfield group companies, its authorised carriers and service providers will use the Customer's personal information for the purpose of administering Westfield's relationship with the Customer, such as, order fulfillment, verifying the customers identity and delivery address, authorising debit/credit card payments and processing any other transactions authorised by the Customer. Westfield may also wish to inform Customers of special offers, undertake product or customer research/development and provide other marketing information to the Customer which Westfield thinks the Customer may find of interest. If a Customer does not wish to receive any marketing information they may request that their details are excluded from any promotional activity by contacting Westfield at the address at paragraph 8 below.

5. Visitors to our website

When someone visits our website we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the website. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

We use Google Analytics to help analyse use of our website. This analytical tool uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors’ use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for Westfield.

Westfield will not (and will not allow any third party) to use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google statistical analytics tool. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither Westfield nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user.

The search engine on our website is designed to be as powerful and easy to use as the popular search engine Google. The search is made possible by a piece of hardware (a search ‘appliance’) supplied by Google that is plugged into our server and continuously indexes the content on our site. All search requests are handled by the appliance and the information is not passed on to any third party, including Google.

If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be upfront about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it. 

6. Security measures

6.1 The Westfield Website is secure. The security of the Website can be verified by simply right-clicking on the order page and choosing "Properties". This shows the URL and that the connection is SSL with 128 bit encryption.

7. Access to customers personal information

The Customer has the right to request a copy of all the personal information Westfield holds about them (a small fee may apply) and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Please address requests to Westfield at the address in paragraph 8 below.
