Chamber Primary Health Plan

What other companies say about us

My employees spend most of their time working with heavy loads and driving, so it’s inevitable that some of them will experience musculoskeletal problems.

By having the Chamber Plan in place, I know that if an employee does experience back pain, they can visit a specialist for either physiotherapy, acupuncture or chiropractic treatment, quickly.

We couldn’t afford to offer staff big wage increases at the time, but Westfield offered a good solution.

It has allowed me to provide my employees with a benefit that offers cash lump sums for healthcare treatment, meaning that they can maintain their wellbeing without having to worry about the cost.

The plan is ideal for an industrial company like us. The benefits tick every box and it really makes our workforce feel valued.

We introduced the Chamber Plan in 2001 when we were still a young company.

Our employees do a lot of work on computers, so keeping their eyesight in check is essential. Therefore staff need to have access to optical care – whether it’s a sight test or purchasing the right glasses or contact lenses.

The plan enables staff to claim money back, meaning they can look after their eyesight without worrying about the price tag!

The Chamber Plan had just been launched when we introduced it and it’s literally grown with us. At the time, a lot of our employees were quite young and had just left home, so the plan provided them with a way of budgeting for their healthcare.

Now, 10 years on, we’ve all grown up, settled down and had children – so we’ve adapted the plan to match. We’ve recently added the ‘For Kids’ module to provide healthcare benefits for employees’ dependent children, which is invaluable when it comes to dental and optical care.

The Chamber Plan is incredibly popular and it has really come into its own over the last year or so in light of the recession.

Member employers use the plan as a means to enhance their employee package. The financial difficulties we are facing at the moment have meant a lot of employers aren’t in the position to offer financial incentives, but they still want to acknowledge the hard work of their staff and the Chamber Plan is a viable alternative.

It’s important not to forget that healthcare can be very expensive for families, especially at a time when we are all having to tighten our belts.

We cancelled our Private Medical Insurance (PMI) because we felt it was much more acceptable as a company to implement a health cash plan.

The Chamber Plan was far more economical than PMI, even on the top level, which meant we could provide the maximum benefits to the whole workforce for far less money.

Another reason for switching was that we were unhappy with what was offered as a dental add-on with our PMI agreement. Westfield has excellent dental cover incorporated within the premiums, which made it the perfect solution for us.

We class the Chamber Plan as an excellent staff benefit and have promoted the cash plan as an incentive when recruiting new additions to the team.
