Caffè Nero Group Ltd has launched a health cash plan for nearly 400 employees to offer them an affordable means of healthcare.
Ranked the number one UK consumer choice for the past six years, Caffè Nero opted for Westfield Health’s Foresight Plan because of its simplicity and range of benefits.
Caffè Nero HR Adviser Jon Poett said: “With the way the economy is at the moment and access to the NHS sometimes an issue, a cash plan and its benefits can have a real impact.
“Many employers see health cover as a ‘benefit’ but we view the wellbeing of our employees as a ‘basic’.
“Sometimes health schemes can be overcomplicated but the Foresight Plan has been very easy to manage and fits our business model very well.
“The feedback we’ve had, in terms of Westfield’s customer relations with us as a company and our employees as individuals, has been 100 per cent positive.”
Caffè Nero turned to Intermediary Stephen Hackett at Bluefin for advice and guidance on the best healthcare package for its workforce.
Stephen said: “Caffè Nero wanted a low-cost solution but one that delivered a high level of key, relevant health benefits that would appeal to staff.
“The fact that no medical is required to join the Foresight Plan and all pre-existing medical conditions are covered by the plan also provides the peace of mind of knowing all staff can access the benefits.
“Health cash plans like Foresight can also be used as effective risk management tools, aiding recruitment and retention issues and helping to reduce sickness absence.”
Caffè Nero was founded in 1997 and is currently the largest independent coffee retailer in the UK, with more than 380 stores in locations from Glasgow to Brighton.
