Add-on surgery benefit launched for Chamber Plan
Westfield Health has launched a new add-on surgery benefit for its Chamber Primary Health Plan.
Surgery Choices is an affordable healthcare benefit that additionally covers employees for up to 60 different surgical procedures. These can include operations for cataracts, gallstones, varicose veins, slipped discs and hernias.
Traditionally this fast route to treatment has only been available at a much higher cost, but for just an extra £1.24 per employee, per week, employers with 10 or more employees can choose to purchase Surgery Choices for their entire workforce.
Combined with Surgery Choices, the Chamber Plan gives employees more choice and control over their own healthcare, while providing a high level of reassurance for employers trying to manage their absence levels.
Surgery Choices is easy to use. Following referral from a consultant, an appropriate private treatment package is sourced for an employee’s operation.
If an employee is assessed as unsuitable for a private treatment package or would prefer NHS treatment, the employer receives an Employer NHS Benefit as a cash lump sum to help mitigate the cost of the employee’s potentially longer absence from work.
Surgery Choices is also available as an add-on benefit to the Foresight Plan.
