Westfield shortlisted for business

Westfield Health has been shortlisted for a prestigious regional award thanks to its charitable work.

The not-for-profit health insurance company are contenders in the Yorkshire Pride category at the inaugural Yorkshire Business Masters. Every year, Westfield makes substantial donations to the NHS and medically related charities across the UK.

The Yorkshire Pride category, sponsored by Welcome to Yorkshire, has been created to celebrate the most meaningful philanthropic initiative by a business, organisation or leader.

Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome To Yorkshire, said: "Yorkshire businesses have a major part to play in industry, but those businesses and individuals that go that extra mile and work selflessly for others are examples to us all. This award gives us a rare opportunity to shine the spotlight on those people and reward their hard work which, all too often, goes unnoticed."
