Excellent! Westfield wins at Business Excellence Awards

 

Westfield Health has won a prestigious North of England Business Excellence Award to place it ‘amongst the UK's most outstanding businesses’.

Judges praised 'staff loyalty and commitment' as being evident throughout the company with a prevailing 'strong customer focus' and found that Westfield has a 'clear understanding of customer needs' and the mechanisms in place to gather feedback and, importantly, to inform new product development.

Westfield Health Chief Executive Jill Davies said: "We are really elated that the assessors have looked closely at the way we deliver our services and products and have found us to be achieving high levels of excellence in the North of England and indeed the UK. This is fantastic news for everyone who works at Westfield and for all of our loyal customers."

The awards, organised by North of England Excellence, judge organisations against the Business Excellence Model, an international management tool for assessing business performance. Entrants have their operations scrutinised by teams of specially trained independent assessors.

David Teale, Chief Executive of North of England Excellence, said: "Awards are only given to those who reach the highest standards. Our winners have demonstrated that they are amongst the UK's most outstanding businesses. Even more importantly, their experience shows that investing in excellence improves business performance. Quite simply, excellence is good for business."

The awards were held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds and were presented by guest speaker Ken McMeikan, CEO of Greggs.
