Westfield provides a line of reassurance during GP strike
Westfield Health policyholders will still be able to access GP consultations despite the nationwide doctors’ strike.
Westfield’s DoctorLine™ service, which has recently been enhanced to include webcam consultations, enables policyholders and their dependent family members to speak to a qualified, practising UK GP, either by telephone or face to face online.
Telephone consultations are available 24 hours a day, every day, and webcam consultations can take place between 8:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.
The innovative service means that policyholders can talk to a GP for as long as required, as many times as they want and at a time convenient to them.
The webcam facility allows the user to demonstrate their symptoms in order to help them diagnose the condition and recommend a course of action. To assist in their explanation, the doctor can also show the user 3D medical images of the body online or refer to medical definitions.
