New intermediary appointment for Westfield Health
Westfield Health has strengthened its fast-growing intermediary team with the appointment of Trish Leyland as Intermediary Healthcare Consultant.
The appointment follows an 83 per cent increase in Westfield policyholders via intermediary sales to date this year compared with the same period in 2007.
Trish, from Bolton, has considerable experience of working within both the intermediary and employee benefits sectors and will take on responsibility for Westfield’s work with intermediaries located in the North of England and Scotland.
She was employed as an intermediary sales consultant with Clinicare for five years and more recently, has worked as an employee benefits consultant at Atlas Consulting Group, a role that further developed her knowledge of the Private Medical Insurance and Group Risk areas.
Trish said: “This is an exciting time to join Westfield, with health cash plans on the rise. A cash plan can complement existing PMI schemes but, due to the current economic climate, we are already seeing more companies looking to them as a cost-effective alternative to PMI that opens up healthcare cover for the whole workforce.
“As a result, intermediaries are increasingly adding health cash plans to their portfolios.
“I am looking forward to continuing to build on my relationships with intermediaries and being able to demonstrate how Westfield’s plans can help their clients by benefiting both employer and employee.”
