A team from Westfield Health are preparing to lace up their trainers for the Star Donor Run to help raise awareness of organ transplantation.
The Westfield Health Donor Run team show their support for organ donation.
The 24-strong team will be taking part in the event as part of the 31st Westfield Health British Transplant Games.
Hundreds of runners from across South Yorkshire will be taking part in the Donor Run alongside transplant recipients, who will be showcasing that patients are fit and healthy again after their transplant.
Katherine Miller, executive assistant at Westfield Health, said: "We’re all looking forward to the Donor Run as it’s a fantastic cause and it’s sure to be a great event.
"We’ve got 24 employees plus two family members taking part in the event. Some people are going to walk, others are looking for their personal best time for 5km and some are just there to have fun.
"The Donor Run and the Transplant Games have really raised awareness about transplantation throughout Westfield. A lot of people are talking about the NHS Organ Donor Register and several people have already signed up.
"The Games will be a great event and will hopefully inspire more people to sign up to the Register."
The Star Donor Run is on Saturday August 9 at 7pm at Don Valley Stadium. Children need to be over the age of 13 to take part in the 5km event, but there are no further age or ability restrictions. The event is open to elite runners, joggers and walkers who want to show their support for the organ donation cause.
