A Scottish lotions and perfumes company is seeing the benefits of introducing a Westfield Health cash plan after it helped to prevent employee absence.
Arran Aromatics’ products, such as shampoos, soaps, bath oils, perfumes and scented candles, can be found in a network of stockists in more than 40 countries as well as in hotels worldwide.
The company, based on the Isle of Arran, has a vision ‘to make the best products we possibly can in order to enrich the lives of the people who use them’.
Now the company is ensuring that Westfield’s Chamber Primary Health Plan is enriching the lives of its own staff.
Lynn Walker, HR Manager, said: “I believe we may have had staff off work with back pain if they had not been able to access chiropractic treatment and have some of the costs reimbursed thanks to the Westfield plan.
“Thanks to other benefits like optical and dental, our staff have been able to gain access to a whole range of benefits and the uptake has been very good.
“Being based on an island, access to mainland healthcare can sometimes be difficult, so providing our employees with the chance to get quick access if something was to go wrong was very appealing to us as a company.
“We value our staff and want to retain them so it is good practice as an employer to ensure that we continually look to improve our employment conditions and benefits.
“Anyone who has made a claim has found Westfield’s service to be very quick in terms of getting their payments back. Any queries from staff have been handled in an incredibly easy way, which really is a credit to Westfield.”
