As part of its 90th birthday celebrations, Westfield Health has presented one policyholder with flowers to thank her for her seven decades of loyalty.
Great-grandmother Alma Turton, who also turned 90 in this, Westfield’s milestone year, has been a Westfield customer since she first started work more than 70 years ago.
Alma, of Keighley, West Yorkshire, said: “I’ve stayed with Westfield for two very simple reasons – their courteousness and their good service.
“I’ve been very lucky and stayed healthy throughout my life, so I have only really needed to claim for eye tests and dental treatment. But I have paid into my Westfield plan ever since I started work, as it is reassuring to have and provides peace of mind.
“Their customer service has always been excellent. I have been very happy with them over all these years.”
Like Westfield, Alma was born and bred in Sheffield and she also knows a thing or two about good customer service from personal experience. As an employee of Firth Vickers (later British Steel), she won a Telephonist of the Year Award three times during the 1960s.
Westfield Chief Executive Jill Davies said: “It has been a lovely experience to meet Alma and to present her with some flowers to thank her for all her support over the years.”
