An NHS Donor Card.
One of the highlights of the weekend’s action at the Westfield Health British Transplant Games is the Donor Run at Memorial Park in Coventry on Saturday evening.
The race will see hundreds of members of the public running alongside transplant athletes to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation and the desperate need for more donors.
Earlier in the day, athletes will be hoping to make a splash in the swimming pool at Coventry Sports Centre at 1pm. First up are the children followed by the adults in the afternoon.
Coventry Sports Centre is also the location for the senior and junior badminton competitions taking place throughout Saturday.
Elsewhere, there will be cycling at Stoneleigh Park, walking at the University’s Cryfield Pavillion and a mini marathon at Memorial Park.
The final day of The Games is dominated by the track and field events at Westwood Campus, University of Warwick.
Adults and children will be taking part in a wide range of competitions including the hurdles, high jump, relay, 100m sprint and an under-5s 50-yard dash.
The track and field day is the biggest day of the competition and is a fitting finale to four days of fantastic competition.
The athletes are then given a send off at the Gala Dinner on Sunday evening before making their way home on Monday – hopefully with a medal around their necks.
Anyone can come to watch the events and entrance is free of charge.
