The long wait is finally over as the 32nd Westfield Health British Transplant Games get underway today.
The Games officially begin this evening at 7pm with the opening ceremony at University Square in Coventry.
Hundreds of athletes, officials and families will then parade through the city centre to kick off the four-day sporting extravaganza in style.
Over the next few days more than 1,000 transplant athletes of all ages from across the UK will be in Coventry competing in 26 different sports, including swimming, athletics, table tennis, golf and cycling.
The Westfield Health website will bring you a preview of each day’s key events.
Today’s highlights include golf at Brandon Wood Golf Course, tennis at the University of Warwick tennis centre and canoeing at the Royal Leamington Spa Canoe Centre.
Anyone can come to watch the events and entrance is free of charge.
