The 31st Westfield Health British Transplant Games PR campaign has received a prestigious regional industry award.
HR Media Ltd, who managed the publicity for the Games and also handle Westfield’s public relations and communications, have been recognised in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards for their work on the 2008 British Transplant Games.
The company has achieved a silver award in the not-for-profit category for the innovative implementation of the regional PR campaign for the Games. The Westfield Health sponsored event was held in Sheffield last year and HR Media’s campaign helped to inspire more than 28,000 people in the South Yorkshire region to sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register.
Alison Hurndall, Managing Director of HR Media, said: “It is always rewarding when your professional peers recognise the high quality of the service you provide.
“It is a reflection of the hard work of our team who always strive to employ creative and relevant public relations methods to raise the profile and enhance the reputation of our clients.
“It is particularly pleasing that this campaign won the award as it had such a real impact and so became a force for good by capturing the imagination of the public.”
Alison added: “It is especially appropriate that this award was won for our work with Westfield Health, as they have been a loyal client of HR Media for more than 12 years. It is a very effective partnership.”
The PRide Awards is the only awards scheme that showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and nations. This year there were 1,448 entries.
