Westfield ‘Unite’ with football club
A Westfield Health cash plan is helping Sheffield United’s backroom staff to keep the ball rolling.
The Championship club introduced Westfield’s Chamber Primary Health Plan to help them to encourage proactive employee healthcare, improve staff morale, and recruit and retain staff.
Cheryl Thorpe, Payroll/Personnel Manager at Sheffield United Plc, said: “At Sheffield United, we believe that the welfare of our employees is very important, and that is why we introduced the plan.
“Due to the current financial climate it is even more vital to support employees where possible. The Chamber Plan is an excellent benefit to have in place, especially given the challenges that some people are currently facing.
A few of our employees have used the counselling and GP helplines to help them through difficult times and some have used the plan for fast access to scans, which has helped them to avoid NHS waiting lists. This is important because it means that health issues can be investigated more quickly, helping to eliminate some of the worry associated with these concerns.
“Some of our employees have upgraded to the next level of the plan, with the main reason being the higher dental and optical benefits available. Several employees have also joined their partners.
“I find that all of the staff at Westfield are consistently very friendly and professional. They help us to administer the scheme and always process claims very quickly. They provide an excellent service for all healthcare needs.”
