Westfield Health signs up for city’s health campaign

Westfield Health is setting the pace for a healthy lifestyle!

The cash plan provider has signed up to the city’s newest healthy initiative - Sheffield Let’s Change4Life – which aims to raise awareness of obesity in the city and put preventative measures in place to tackle it.

Westfield has agreed to become a healthy business champion, as part of an ongoing commitment to improve the health and wellbeing of its staff.

For many years, the organisation has promoted the benefits of regular exercise by offering staff access to a fully equipped gym. Westfield sees the emotional health of its employees as a top priority and provides a relaxation room with a massage chair to enable them to take a break and recharge their batteries.

Employees also have the opportunity to have an annual flu-jab and blood pressure check. Plus, Westfield offers staff health cover on one of its cash plans as an employee benefit.

Jill Davies, Chief Executive of Westfield Health, said: “Sheffield Let’s Change4Life is an exciting prospect for the city, as it gives businesses the opportunity to take the step to improving health within the region.

“Signing up to the campaign is a natural fit for us. The ethos of our company lies within health and we are proud to practise what we preach.

“By signing up to this campaign we are reinforcing our efforts to sustain the good health of our staff. Plans are already being put in place for forthcoming activities to get everybody involved in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”

Sheffield Let’s Change4Life is a unique collaboration between Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, NHS Sheffield and Sheffield City Council.

Amanda Pilgrim, Head of Business Development at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to have Westfield Health, a leading health organisation in the region, on board as a healthy business champion.

“The company is already implementing many elements of Sheffield Let’s Change4Life and promoting its aims by encouraging staff to become good ambassadors for a healthy lifestyle.”
