Parker Plant Hire Ltd, based in Halfway, Llanelli, introduced the Foresight Plan as a proactive way of looking after the health of their staff.
Parker Plant Hire Ltd was formed by George Parker in 1980 and to this day remains a family owned business. With over 25 years’ experience, the company has depots in Llanelli and Cardiff supplying a wide range of plant equipment, power tools and accommodation for regional and national hire.
George Parker said: "As an Investor in People organisation we are fully committed to taking care of our staff. Introducing the Foresight Plan was our way of ensuring that our staff stay fit and healthy and of showing them that we are a caring employer.
"Employees are eligible to join the plan following 12 months’ service at the company and we have had wonderful feedback from them. They see it as a great benefit of working for Parker Plant Hire Ltd and we have found that sickness absence has been reduced since we introduced the plan.
