Belfast City Airport, renamed George Best Belfast City Airport in memory of the famous footballer in 2006, adopted Westfield’s Foresight Healthcare Plan in June 2005 and management and staff have hailed it as a big success.
Stephen Patton, human resources assistant at the airport, said: "We are very pleased with the Foresight Plan and, as a result, have upgraded the majority of employees from Level 1 to Level 2 cover.
"Employee feedback has been very positive, particularly because claiming money back is a simple process and there is a quick turnaround. Additionally, many staff have upgraded their own level of cover and have joined their partners.
"Dental and optical benefits are the most popular aspect of the plan, but employees have also benefited from using the physiotherapy benefit and the confidential counselling and advice line.
"Joining Foresight is a very simple and straightforward process, and continues to be in every aspect, with only a minimum amount of paperwork to complete.
"From an HR perspective, the Foresight Plan is a great company extra which we include in recruitment advertisements and discuss at interviews. We also detail the plan in our letter of offer for new employees."
