Graham Moore MSc, FCIPD, DUniv

Chairman

Graham joined us as Chief Executive in 1985 after more than 20 years in personnel management. He became Chairman in 1995 and stepped down as CEO in 2008 to concentrate on this role, as well as his continued leadership of our Charitable Trust. Graham is a passionate campaigner and supporter of organ donation and transplantation.

Since 2008, Jill has guided our organisation through a period of significant innovation and growth. Jill has a wealth of experience in the health insurance industry and, under her leadership, we continue to be the UK’s leading provider of corporate paid health cash plans with 30% market share. In 2015, Jill was the proud recipient of the Inspirational Woman of the Year award at the Enterprising Women and Integra Awards.

Commercial Director

David joined us as Commercial Director in 2015. His role is to develop partnerships, products and services to support the NHS and UK businesses to improve the health of our nation. David has worked in the healthcare sector for over a decade and is helping to drive the local and national wellbeing agenda.

Finance Director

Jason joined us in 2015 and now leads our finance, compliance and propositions teams. An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Jason has spent the majority of his career in general insurance and the last 15 years in healthcare. 


 

Julie Gill DMS

Julie Gill DMS

Operations Director

Julie is our Company Secretary and successfully leads our operations department, including our processing teams, customer care team and facilities management. Under her leadership, we’ve been recognised for our ‘world class’ customer service, business excellence and efforts to counter health insurance fraud. 

Non Executive Directors

Professor Pat Cantrill MSc, BA (Hons), RGN RHVT, TC

Senior Independent Director

Pat was appointed to our Board in 2006, became Senior Independent Director in 2011 and is a member of our Remuneration, Nomination and Pensions Review Group. She has more than 40 years’ experience in the NHS and independent health and social care sectors. She’s also the company’s Whistleblowing Champion. 

Nick J A Hutton MBE

Vice Chaiman

Nick was appointed to our Board in 1995, following a distinguished career in business and public life. He is Guardian and Executive Committee Member of the Sheffield Assay Office and President of Age Concern, Sheffield. He’s also a member of our Remuneration, Nomination and Pensions Review Group. 

 

David J Whitney

Non Executive Director

David was appointed to our Board in 2002. A former NHS executive, he is a member of Westfield Health’s Audit, Health and Charitable Trust committees.

Lesley Welton

Non Executive Director

Lesley joined our Board in 2004. Most of her career has been spent in engineering equipment distribution, sales and marketing, and quality assurance. She sits on various Westfield Health committees including the Audit and Risk Sub Committees. 

Kevin Bardsley LLB (Hons)

Non Executive Director

Kevin was a solicitor and part time lecturer at the University of Sheffield before setting up his own consultancy business and joining the Westfield Health Board. He’s a member of our Remuneration and Risk Committees.

David Palmer MA (Oxon), ACIB

Non Executive Director

David is the newest member of our Board. He joined following a career in banking, where he specialised in risk management and its regulation. He sits on our Investment and Risk Committees. 


 

Philip Gregory

Non Executive Director

Philip joined our Board in 2013. A chartered accountant, he was Managing Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sheffield until he retired in 2009. He chairs our Audit Committee. 


 

Annual review

2013-14 has been a period of substantial change at Westfield Health, during which we’ve achieved outstanding results. We’ve invested significantly in preparing our organisation for the future and we now have more people than ever using our harder working health cover.
