Westfield Health hit the road in a bid to demystify health cover and showcase to advisers the opportunities within the health insurance market.
The health insurer hosted seven Adviser Healthcare Roadshows across the UK, welcoming almost 200 independent financial advisers (IFAs) and brokers looking to find out more about Westfield Health’s corporate healthcare plans and hospital treatment insurance.
Steve Sharrock, Head of Intermediary Sales at Westfield Health, said: “Our research has found that despite 92 per cent of senior management saying the health of their workforce matters to the success of their business, only 35 per cent offer their workforce health insurance – and we feel that’s a massive opportunity for advisers to grow their revenue.
“However, we also recognise that there are a lot of false perceptions around selling health cover, such as a belief that it’s complicated, or that it doesn’t offer enough commission.
“These roadshows set out to debunk these myths and help advisers to recognise the huge opportunities that lie within the corporate health cover market at present.”
Westfield Health also used the roadshows as an opportunity to unveil its new Intermediary Toolkit – an educational pack designed to help advisers identify new and existing sales opportunities and prepare effectively for client meetings.
The toolkit also includes sales tools such as prospecting letters and email templates.
