Westfield Health donates £5k to Changing Faces.
We’ve donated £5,000 to Changing Faces, a charity offering support to people with disfigurements, to help boost its service for people across Yorkshire and the Humber.
The funding will help deliver practical and emotional support for people living with conditions, marks or scars that affect their appearance.
The charity helps people to understand their condition and provides support to people coping with the psychological and social effects of disfigurement, and their families. One of its other objectives is to transform public attitudes towards people with disfigurement, ensuring they’re given fair treatment and equal opportunities in society.
Catherine Ross, Yorkshire & the Humber Manager at Changing Faces, said: “We’re so pleased to have received this donation from Westfield Health and are incredibly grateful for their support. Unfortunately it’s common for people with disfigurements to experience anxiety, self-consciousness and depression. With our help, individuals can lead full, confident and satisfying lives. We believe that with the right help everyone can learn to face their future with optimism.”
