Westfield Health shortlisted for Employee Engagement Award.
Westfield Health has been announced as a finalist in the Wellness category at the prestigious, global Employee Engagement Awards.
We’ll be joining a host of big brands including BMW, Warburtons and Barclays at the London ceremony in January.
The Wellness Award recognises organisations that use wellness initiatives to better engage staff with the company’s goals, improve day to day productivity and create a better working environment for all.
We’ve been shortlisted for our successful walking campaign, which was implemented earlier this year. The initiative featured a staff team competition to walk collectively the distance between Land’s End and John O’Groats, and our colleagues really got behind it. We completed a total of 20,789,809 steps or 10,394 miles – that’s the equivalent of walking to Australia!
Our Head of Marketing Ruth Connor said: “We’re really excited about being shortlisted for the Employee Engagement Awards. The Wellness Award is a popular category so we’re proud to have been chosen as a finalist. We received some excellent feedback from the judges about our walking campaign, which was a great success with 72% of all employees getting involved.
“My team did a fantastic job in organising both internal and external customer competitions and activities. Staff across the company showed bags of enthusiasm and really embraced the competition and teamwork that the initiative created. This achievement is thanks to their efforts.”
Founder of the awards, Matt Manners, said: “I’ve once again been blown away by the response and calibre of organisations and entries submitted. The quality of work we’ve seen has been world class and it was extremely hard to cull the entries into a shortlist to be put forward to our expert panel of judges.”
The Employee Engagement Awards will be held at The Brewery on January 28th and hosted by Danny Wallace.
