Leading health and wellbeing company Westfield Health has donated £1,000 to the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB) as a ‘New Year Thank You’.

The SRSB choir sang Christmas carols for the staff at Westfield Health’s city centre headquarters during the Christmas period.

Chairman of Westfield Health Graham Moore said: “It was a pleasure to welcome and listen to the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind sing Christmas carols – it was a real treat for all our staff.

“As a thank you we thought it would be a great start to the New Year to donate £1,000 to the charity to help towards their ongoing work.”

Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind provides opportunity, support, friendship and services to blind and partially sighted people in Sheffield, helping them to achieve whatever they wish to do and whatever they aspire to be.

David Cox, Activities Centre Manager at SRSB said: "The SRSB singers were delighted to have been invited to sing at Westfield Health. The staff provided a great location for the singers to perform and we were warmly welcomed.

"There was fantastic audience participation with Westfield Health staff joining in and helping the concert go with a bang. We were particularly keen to sing at Westfield Health as we have worked with the company for a number of years.

"Westfield Health have supported SRSB in many ways, donating Christmas presents for our clients, holding events and indeed without their financial support we wouldn't have the minibus which took the choir to the venue. Many thanks from all at SRSB."
