With COVID-19 having such a big impact on daily life, we wanted to let you know the ways in which your health cash plan can help you during this uncertain time.

As many of our cash plans contain different services and benefits, please check your plan guide to see exactly what’s included.

DoctorLine, our 24-hour telephone GP service.

The NHS is under more strain than ever. GP surgeries across the country are cancelling appointments and asking people to stay away – especially if they have coronavirus-like symptoms. It can be hard to know where to go if you have questions or concerns about your health.

If you’re concerned about COVID-19 symptoms, you should still contact NHS 111 for appropriate advice and treatment, either online via 111.nhs.uk or by dialling 111 from a phone.

For any other issues DoctorLine gives you 24/7 telephone access to a GP, so you can call and ask about any questions or concerns you might have. You can also call to arrange a webcam consultation if you prefer.

Whilst capacity has been increased as much as possible to keep delays to a minimum, inevitably we anticipate that there will be longer wait times than normal. We appreciate your understanding and support as we seek to manage this demand.

24 Hour Information & Advice Line.

As the spread has been so rapid, there is a lot of confusion and worry surrounding COVID-19. Social distancing and self-isolating can increase feelings of loneliness. Financial uncertainties are also a big concern for some. All of these worries can increase feelings of anxiety and put more pressure on you and your relationships.

The 24-Hour Advice and Information Line gives you confidential guidance on medical, legal or domestic issues from experienced counsellors, lawyers and medical advisors.

From stress, bereavement or relationship advice to health and money worries, you’ll be able to talk to an expert at any time of the day or night.

Financial support through Hospital Benefit.

Should the worst happen and you need to be admitted to hospital, many of our cash plans include Hospital Benefit. This gives you a fixed cash payout per day or night you’re in hospital, up to 14 days/nights a year.

The money can be used to help pay for parking, food and or other expenses during your stay. There is up to 18 hours of care after hospital available on some plans too, should it be required.

Cash back on everyday healthcare.

During all the financial uncertainty, you’ll still be able to claim cashback on everyday healthcare, such as glasses, contact lenses and dental appointments, if you need them.

With Westfield Rewards you can get discounts at hundreds of retailers, to make your money go further. You get money off on groceries at supermarkets like Tesco, Asda, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, and you can use it to buy things to keep you and your family entertained while you spend more time at home.
