Westfield Health continues to lead corporate market.
Westfield Health continues to be leader in the UK corporate health cash plan market, according to the latest market research.
Laing & Buisson’s Health Cover UK Market Report 2015 revealed that, despite strong competition, we have remained corporate market leader with a share of more than 30%.
During the last year, our corporate policyholder numbers have increased to the highest level recorded. Overall, including direct customers, we now provide health cover to more than 412,000 policyholders - the greatest number in our history.
Our Chief Executive Jill Davies said: “The corporate paid cash plan market is booming with a 12% year on year increase, so it’s very pleasing to see that we’re not just growing as a company and recording our highest ever policyholder numbers, but we’re continuing to grow our business in what is an intensively competitive market.
“This report clearly shows that health cash plans are increasingly popular with employers, while corporate PMI grew only marginally, suggesting that, despite the economic recovery, affordability remains a key issue for employers.
“Our hospital treatment insurance makes cover for private surgery and medical treatment more affordable and accessible, so employees can get treated quickly and back to work sooner, helping employers to manage absence levels in a more cost effective way.”
The Health Cover UK Market Report is published annually by Laing & Buisson - the provider of information and market intelligence on the independent health, community care and childcare sectors.
